The Bio-Market in Olargues

Super bio market at Olargues today !!
We bought some wonderful honey produced in Saint-Vincent-d’Olargues and Riols. We tried some new flavours out this time as the hot summer had made some varieties in short supply. Then it was down to the ice cream seller for some amazing surbert. My granddaughter soon woofed that down and was onto the lovely crepes with chestnut jam filling. The local peaches were beautiful too and so with a big bag of those some lovely cheeses and a couple of delicious loaves of bread we headed up to Mauroul for a wonderful walk and picnic in the mountains. It’s well worth looking out for these lovely markets.
Everything is local, fresh and really delicious.

Wine Fair in St-Chinian

If you’re in ‪#‎Languedoc on July 19, I’d recommend a trip to the annual wine fair in Saint-Chinian, just because it’s a very colourful, fun (and free) event, and a good day out for anyone who enjoys local food, wine and culture.
There are activites for younger children, and it’s good natured and family-friendly. Lots of trad garb to be admired too… 😉
